The rigid holding bar can be rotated 360° about the column for the convenience of the athlete or to place it to the back and clear of an athlete not wishing to use it. The bar may be raised to 700 mm (27.5”) above the seat or lowered to 305 mm (12”) above the seat. The dimension between the center line of the column to the center line of the holding bar is 371 mm (14.6”). This dimension has proved to be most the satisfactory for all athletes throughout our trials. A minimum spacing of 150 mm (6”) must be maintained between the two box section supports. The holding bar can be employed as a convenient handle when wheeling the frame.
